A LEAP FROG TO LAMPASAS

April 15, Helotes to Lampasas 110 miles in the back of a van
The part we needed finally arrived about 1:00, got things put together and headed out in the van with Nanette driving us to Lampasas. Karen Gonsoulin from our WT's ride six years ago and her husband Armand made the drive from Austin to meet us there. We enjoyed visiting with them and had a fun time comparing notes about our rides. We stayed in a motel because of our arrival time in Lampasas and so we could take our time and enjoy our dinner with the Gonsoulins. We'll head out tomorrow, Wednesday, to begin our journey to McKinney to visit with the John Fish family. We've got some long mileage days ahead of us to get there by Saturday. But it is so great to have these wonderful visits along the way.
