April 11 - Bandera to Helotes- 38 miles
We were awakened in our tent in Bandera by a roaming crowing rooster and we made ready for our fairly short easy ride in to Helotes for our family visit. On the way we finally saw the Texas Hill Country sign we'd been looking for. We stopped and took a picture to prove we had ridden part of the famous convoluted Texas Hill Country.
When we were within about five miles, we called Nanette, and when we rode into their neighborhood she was sitting on the curb with Jacob, 4yrs and Abigail 2yrs! When they saw us they jumped up so excitedly! WOW! What a wonderful welcoming committee! Family is the best!
