ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

  It has been too long since we have done a serious bike tour but the time is now here. We will start Monday morning June 10 from Brookings Oregon and peddle approx 1,400 miles to Jacob Lake AZ by way of San Francisco, Nevada, Utah and then on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for a reunion July 12-14 with the Allen Family cousins from Rusty's mother's side of the family. Three of Rusty's four children and families are planning to attend. We are kind of out of sync as far as packing and organizing for a bike tour. Our living room is a mess! There is a pile of bike clothes in one spot, a pile of camping/cooking equipment in another. Throw away items and maybe items! (Remember the "Need to Have. Nice to Have. NUTS to have" rule?)
So it is high adventure time again! We are trying a new method this time. We will be taking our own SAG vehicle(that stands for Support and Gear) so we won't have to carry anything on our bikes. This makes a BIG difference in the ride! Our SAG wagon will be our faithful Subaru we've nicknamed "Willie" especially for this ride. You know, Willie Nelson and "On the Road Again". It will involve taking turns riding or driving and leap frogging or other options that we'll discover along the way. The only disadvantage  with the sag will be the temptation to jump in the car and let Willie do the driving.
We are planning on a fun adventure...."going places that we've never been.  seeing things that we may never see again..."
