Just a hop skip and a jump to Columbia to have our bikes get their 1,000 mile checkup at Dave's Columbia Bike Shop. No bike shops conveniently located along the way thus far and this was too good to pass up. Both bikes have been complaining a little and have started making some 'worrisome' sounds. At triage Dave said didn't sound like anything to be concerned about but that when carrying a load it tends to shift and cause pressure on different areas of the bike, brakes, etc. but he'd check everything out, tighten it up and send us on our way.
There's a tornado warning till 10:00pm tonight but we're in THE ONLY hotel in the town...costs more than that great Davy School B&B in Anna but it's either this or possibly become part of the morning news. The good thing is that it has a computer!
We'll ride across the river into St. Louis MO tomorrow and be tourists for a day. Then attend church Sunday and ride out Monday. If you have any influence on the weatherman, please see what you can do about these thunderstorms and tornado watches. Thanks!

Your bikes are making worrisome sounds?!!! No kidding. What about your bodies? Do they get a 1000 mile check up too? You guys are AWESOME! Love ya!
