Slept in a little. Went down to Old Nauvoo to check out the schedule for the activities and shows. Went to the grocery store! Dave had said "We have a grocery store in town." Now to most people that would be a given but after riding through these small Mississippi River towns we totally understood his simple statement. A grocery store in town is a really good thing.
The performances for Nauvoo officially start Saturday and the dress rehearsals are today. We mosied on down to the outdoor stage and watched the dress rehearsal of "Sunset on the Mississippi". It was a great production full of music and dancing and a blend of senior missionaries and young performing missionaries who are called for four months to be in these productions.
We've become "bug savy" since riding the Mississippi this last week and so we took our "Bull Gnat" spray with us, just in case. It didn't take long before we were spraying and passing the bottle around to others in the audience. It was fun to think of the people made comfortable tonight by that woman who gave us the bottle in Pleasant Hill. Pay it forward!
