SUNDAY IN MEMPHIS, TN

May 3, Sunday

Earlier Saturday Rusty left a message on the Bishop's number that we had gotten off the church website. Saturday night at about 10:30 the bishop returned his call to tell us that it is Stake Conference today and there is no one in the area of our motel that could pick us up. Interesting that in the biggest town we've been in thus far we'll be missing church.
So we'll dress in our Sunday clothes, have our own gospel doctrine study, do laundry, and get this blog caught up.

We're going over our route and trying to figure out how to get out of town tomorrow. The resource we are using is The MRT book by Robinson and he is traveling North to South and sometimes that doesn't just reverse for us. For example it was a challenge to figure out how to get across the Arkansas - Memphis bridge when it sounded so easy in the book.

The rain stopped for a while but is now pouring down again. Forecast for tomorrow is scattered showers. Maybe we'll be dry riding out tomorrow morning.
