Our Route
As some friends and family have taken a look at our itinerary they've asked why we appear to be zigging and zagging on our route. Well, we've been really fortunate to use Adventure Cycling's tour maps for most of our ride. Adventure Cycling is a nonprofit organization that maps out the best routes for bike riders showing campsites, bike shops, food and watering holes, etc. The routes do not go directly from point A to point B but zigzag a bit to give a better look at the 'local color'. We are using the Adventure Cycling Southern Tour maps from Phoenix to San Antonio and their Great Rivers maps from Louisiana to Nauvoo. In between and after Rusty did some great navigating! He's the Wheelman. Anyway, it looks good on paper! We are countdown six days to departure!

The maps sound great. Dave will want to check them out for us. You two are my inspiration! I really hope to build up my cycling abilities so we can enjoy some long rides. For now I'm still in the very novice category but love it when we tandem around!
