THOUGHTS ON TEXAS

We've been riding through Texas for a month and have some thoughts to share:
1. Love the "Y'all" and great accents. One clerk said "Do y'all want y'all's receipt?" Charming
2. Sweet Tea a very common drink, especially in east Texas. Sold everywhere and in gallons at the grocery stores.
3. Seems to be a building code for churches. Other than old buildings, they all seem to be brick with white steeples no matter the denomination
4, More that 100 counties
5. Beautiful wild flowers along the road way.
6. More people seem to smoke here
7. More junk cars in yards
9. Fly the Texas flag AND American flag in yards
10. Mostly CLEAN, wide shoulders to ride on!
11.Polite, considerate drivers, even truckers!
12. Wide variety of vegetation, from sage brush and cactus to pine trees and honeysuckle
13. 5# bags of raw peanuts in the shell
14. The state of almost endless hills!! Don't let anybody tell you Texas is flat!
15. Texans' hearts are as big as their state!
