PORT GIBSON TO VICKSBURG

April 21, Tuesday
47 miles

WOW! The roads have been so flat and easy that we were not prepared for the hills of Vicksburg! Well, I guess in a way we were because we had been in training for them for about a week but the 90% mental part took us by surprise.
Another surprise was that all the campgrounds in the area were full! This was not a scheduled motel night but I guess we could suffer with an extra day of civility. We stayed at a Super Eight motel, ate dinner at Shoney's sharing a T-bone steak dinner and then walked 2 1/2 miles to Wal-mart and found the fuel we needed for our camp stove! Thank you Wal-mart!
We also made a couple of CD's of our pictures and we have sent them to Natalie to put them on a Snapfish album for all to share. Thank you, Natalie!

While I'm thanking Natalie for being our "Picture Lady" we want to thank Susie for being our "Church Lady" and finding the phone numbers and locations on the computer, AnneMarie for being our "Mail Lady" and allowing our mail to fill her mailbox and forwarding on the important stuff. Thank you also to DiDi for being our "Car Lady" and babysitting our Subaru for two months. And thank you to everyone for your fun comments on the blog and for your friendship and prayers!
